There are a number of ways you can support this effort:

Attend hearings at the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors

Upcoming hearings are expected this summer or fall.  Please join our mailing list or check the website to be informed of when the meetings are scheduled. If you support the community alternative plan and would like talking points, please contact us.

Contact the Board of Supervisors

When our local government doesn’t hear directly from its constituents, it’s assumed the community is okay with what is being proposed and legislated. Please send an email to Catherine Stefani our District 2 Supervisor. However, the entire Board votes, so it can’t hurt to contact the other members. Please copy us at

Spread the Word

Many people are unaware of the scope of the developer’s plan and the impact on our community. Share this site with your friends, neighbors, local businesses and anyone who cares about adding needed housing while preserving the historical value of Laurel Hill, the existing zoning protections, our environment, local businesses, green spaces and limiting increased traffic, construction noise, greenhouse gas emissions, and pollution.

Stay informed

We’ll let you know about any major decisions or updates to the project’s status & approval, as well as inform you of any upcoming meetings. (We also won’t overflow your inbox with messages.)

Donate your skills and/or money

We are a grassroots group who have relied on the generosity of concerned residents. We have a number of ongoing expenses and fees, including expenses to an architecture firm to create our alternative plan. We will continue to have expenses to ensure our voices are heard throughout this process.

If you would like to donate your expertise, we’d love your help! We are seeking those with fundraising, public relations, web site development skills and volunteers to distribute leaflets. You can contact us here.

If you would like to donate money, you can donate by check. Please make the check payable to “Laurel Heights Improvement Association” and mail it to:

Richard Frisbie
525 Laurel St.
San Francisco, CA 94118.

Please note the donation is not tax deductible.
